STILL LIFE

The still life paintings I make largely paint themselves. I often paint the same objects that are around my studio. Their progress guides me to get deeper into them. You'll find certain items (like the deep sea shower curtain or gifts my sons brought home as children) repeated many times.

 

Texture draws me towards them. Sometimes, I'll let a piece sit for many years before deciding it's done.
